HUBB LEICESTERSHIRE CIC / EST. 2023

It’s time to give Hubb a home.

It’s time to give Hubb a home.

It’s time to give Hubb a home.

For over three years, we’ve been building our grassroots community organisation. Now it’s time to bring all our initiatives together under one roof, in a dedicated community facility.

INTRODUCING A VISION. NOT YET A LAUNCHED CAMPAIGN.

01 / A PLACE FOR ALL

We’re building more than a building.

A place to belong. A place to grow. A place to learn. A place to serve. We’re building community.

02 / THE CHALLENGE

Belonging. Identity. Connection. Opportunity.

Belonging. Identity. Connection. Opportunity.

Communities face growing challenges around social isolation, limited opportunities, weak social connections and a lack of positive spaces for personal development.

Children and young people need opportunities to develop confidence, identity, social skills and meaningful relationships. Adults and families equally benefit from supportive networks, shared experiences and a sense of belonging.

Hubb Leicestershire responds by creating accessible opportunities for people to connect, learn and grow. Through sports, education, faith, wellbeing and community activities, we bring people together, encourage positive relationships and support personal development.

Our approach is simple: strengthen communities by creating opportunities for meaningful participation, connection and growth.

03 / THE POSSIBILITY

Community is prevention.

Thriving communities are built through meaningful relationships, shared experiences and opportunities for people to develop.

Sport builds discipline and teamwork. Education encourages curiosity and ambition. Creative activities develop confidence and expression. Faith and community gatherings strengthen identity, belonging and connection.

At Hubb Leicestershire, we bring these opportunities together, creating accessible spaces where children, young people and adults can learn new skills, build friendships and discover their potential.

More than activities. Opportunities to grow.

Our approach brings together physical, social, educational and personal development, recognising that each contributes to individual wellbeing and stronger communities.

When people are given opportunities to connect, contribute and grow, the whole community benefits.

04 / OUR STORY

It started with a football.

In August 2023, our journey began at Knighton Park, bringing children together through football. From those early sessions, Hubb has grown into a grassroots community organisation offering opportunities across sport, education, creativity, wellbeing and social connection.

By August 2024, Hubb had expanded into swimming, beginner horse riding, female self-defense and youth programmes. Individual launch dates are still being researched.

Activities Across Our Community

2025

Strengthening brotherhood through physical training. Documented men’s training sessions at Knighton Park Outdoor Gym combined physical development, discipline and community connection. September 2025 is a documented activity period, not a verified programme launch.

2026

By August 2026, Hubb’s programme network included activities across multiple areas of community development. The initiatives below were active by 2026; this does not establish their original launch dates.

Different programmes. Different people. One community.

Every programme represents people bringing their time, knowledge and passion together to create opportunities for our community.

THE NEXT CHAPTER / FUTURE AMBITIONS

This is only the beginning.

More partnerships. More opportunities. A community that leaves no one behind.

A dedicated community facility in Wigston would help Hubb collaborate with educators, professionals, charities, community groups and specialist organisations to reach people not yet being served.

SEND and inclusive activities

Accessible and inclusive activities for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), developed with specialist partners and informed by families’ experiences.

Older people and intergenerational connection

Activities for older residents, including social gatherings, gentle movement, creative workshops, digital skills and opportunities to connect with younger generations.

Teenagers and youth development

More programmes for teenagers, including mentoring, leadership, career exploration, life skills, sport, creative expression and positive social spaces.

Mental wellbeing and social connection

Community-led activities supporting friendship, belonging, confidence and social connection, with appropriate specialist partnerships where needed.

Skills, employment and career pathways

Workshops, mentoring, professional networking, digital skills and opportunities to connect young people and adults with experienced professionals.

More opportunities for families

Parent support, family learning, affordable activities and inclusive programmes that respond to emerging community needs.

We don’t have to do everything ourselves.

We have to bring the right people together.

A permanent home would give us the space to listen, collaborate and develop new initiatives with the people and organisations best placed to deliver them.

Help us build what’s missing.

We’re keen to hear from specialist organisations, educators, community groups, professionals and individuals who share our vision for a more connected and inclusive community.

06 / OUR IMPACT

Behind every number, a person.

Our impact figures are being verified. No estimated reach, attendance or volunteer totals are presented as fact.

Numbers tell part of the story. People tell the rest.

07 / COMMUNITY VOICES

Real stories. Real people.

Parents. Children and young people. Adult participants. Coaches. Volunteers. Genuine stories and consented portraits will appear here when supplied. No testimonial has been invented.

Stories will be shared here once participants have given permission.

08 / EVERY GENERATION MATTERS

Today’s participant. Tomorrow’s role model.

Friendship, mentorship, shared learning and a sense of purpose can grow throughout life. A child attending today could become a volunteer, and one day mentor someone else. This is our aspiration, not a claim about an individual.

Early years. Children. Teenagers. Young adults. Parents. Adults. Elders.

09 / THE NEXT CHAPTER

We’ve built the community. Now it needs a home.

Hubb is exploring renting a prominent, street-facing premises in Wigston Town Centre, Leicestershire. A visible, welcoming place for people from all backgrounds. A place to connect generations. The property is proposed and has not yet been secured.

11 / MORE THAN FOUR WALLS

A place to learn. Connect. Create. Move. Belong.

The proposed home could support our existing network of education, sport, STEM, creativity, faith, family and wellbeing programmes. The vision begins with people, not bricks.

12 / INTRODUCING HUBB 200

More than a member. Part of our future.

HUBB 200 is an invitation to be part of a growing community organisation. Membership means staying connected, sharing ideas and helping inform the opportunities we create together, as we work towards a welcoming community space for the future.

Members’ Dinner

Invited to our biannual members’ dinner to celebrate progress, connect and hear about Hubb’s development.

Have Your Say

Opportunities to share ideas and influence future priorities e.g. more SEND activities, support for older people and more girls-only sports.

Stay Informed

Regular updates on board decisions, financial transparency, upcoming programmes and future plans.

FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP PROGRESS: NOT YET OPEN

Members can share ideas and inform priorities; membership does not confer formal voting rights or control over expenditure. Financial decisions remain subject to the organisation’s governance and director oversight.

13 / WHERE YOUR CONTRIBUTION GOES

Investing in a stronger community.

Facility costs are the primary intended use of contributions: helping sustain a dedicated home for community participation. The proposed facility has not yet been secured. Contributions do not automatically fund every Hubb programme; actual expenditure will follow approved budgets and financial governance arrangements.

A Permanent Community Home

Supporting the ongoing costs of a dedicated community facility.

Long-Term Sustainability

Providing a stable foundation for existing initiatives and future development.

A Space That Grows With Our Community

Supporting approved improvements and adaptations as community needs evolve.

More than a building. An investment in our future.

14 / ACCOUNTABILITY

Your trust. Our responsibility.

Trust grows when people understand how an organisation works and feel heard. These are the commitments we are working towards as HUBB 200 develops.

Financial Transparency

We plan to share clear financial information so our community can understand how funds are received and used.

Responsible Governance

We are developing clear safeguards and responsibilities. Financial decisions will remain subject to approved governance arrangements and director oversight.

Regular Member Updates

We intend to keep members informed about progress, board decisions, financial matters and upcoming programmes through regular, accessible updates.

Open Community Engagement

We plan to create opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and inform priorities. Member feedback will support, not replace, directors’ decision-making responsibilities.

Building trust through openness.

Governance and financial arrangements are being formalised and remain subject to approval. The commitments above describe our plans, not policies already in force.

15 / THE RENOVATION VISION

From an empty building to a thriving community space.

Imagine a welcoming place where friendships grow, skills develop and people of all ages can take part. Our vision is to turn an empty building into a space for learning, movement, creativity and connection. A facility has not yet been secured, and renovation work has not begun.

One building. Countless opportunities.

Renovation is expected to require approximately £20,000–£25,000, subject to assessment, quotations and approval. Opportunities could include business sponsorship, larger contributions and appropriately documented interest-free funding arrangements. No funding is being presented as committed.

Help us bring this vision to life.

16 / IMAGINE FIVE YEARS FROM NOW

Imagine the child who walks through these doors.

They discover a sport. They make a friend. They meet a mentor. They learn a skill. They discover a career. They grow in confidence. And one day… they become the mentor. An imagined possibility. A future worth building.
